Evelia's story is part of a much bigger one: the digital shift reshaping the electrical and building services trades. For years the work has run on the same things it always has — winning the job, planning it, doing it, getting paid — but the tools meant to support that work have lagged badly behind.
 

Our founder, Joni Forsbom, saw this coming early. He started out as a software entrepreneur back when the internet and new technology were first opening up what was possible for businesses. Out of that era came a different way of thinking about software: lighter, built around the people actually using it, and always evolving rather than frozen in place. Evelia is the continuation of three decades of that experience and conviction.

We founded Evelia in 2018, but its roots reach back far further than that.

A real alternative to point solutions and complex software suites

From the very start, one thing was clear. Contractors in our trade were stuck with complex, heavy-to-use systems that were slow to improve and clearly built by people who'd never been on a site or run an electrical contracting company. They deserved a genuine alternative.

For us, success means two things at once: growth for Evelia, and for our customers a better-flowing working day, improved visibility and control of the job, less time spent on non-billable admin, and an end-to-end more profitable and better-managed business. Those go hand in hand — we only do well when you do.
